Road Resurfacing

Roseville Sun City Phase 3 of the road resurfacing saga is rolling on through. Sun City Blvd and Pleasant Grove Blvd will be closed for resurfacing from September 25-26. No need to panic—it’s only 24 hours. Just follow the detour via Fiddyment Rd or Rose Creek Rd. Think of it as a spa day for the roads, keeping them smooth and stylish and spares costly emergency facelifts later on.

Le Bon Vin 🍷 

Thirsty for a new wine hangout? Le Bon Vin in Loomis just popped the cork two weeks ago. Run by husband-and-wife duo, Natalie and Andrew, they’re serving up wine dreams with a side of charcuterie. From Cotes du Rhone to Lodi Zinfandel, they’ve got it all. Inspired by a trip to Champagne (the region, not the drink), these two are ready to pour their passion into your glass. Natalie’s a Roseville native with a fine-dining wine obsession, and Andrew’s from Rio Linda, where he’s mastering physical therapy. Swing by for a sip!

Root of Happiness 😌

Rocklin’s about to get a little more zen! Root of Happiness, the popular kava bar chain, seems to be opening its fifth area location at Rocklin West. This 1,760-square-foot space will serve up nonalcoholic drinks and small bites—mostly centered around kava, a root-based tea that promises relaxation without the hangover. With spots already thriving in Davis, Roseville, and beyond, this kava chain is on a roll. While Root of Happiness hasn’t confirmed the news, the Rocklin West center is buzzing with anticipation. So, if you’re looking to chill, keep an eye on Lonetree Blvd! ($)
