Rocklin High School Mental Health Space 🧠 

Rocklin High has flipped the script on its library, turning it into a mental health and student resource center. With a mix of declining enrollment, staff retirements, and the rising need for mental health services, the "perfect storm" made this vision a reality. The new space offers peer counseling, language books, and a cozy place to connect. Principal Stewart's still brainstorming the perfect name but is excited to hear student input. Librarian Kelly Stephans and her team built the space themselves and have seen library book checkouts jump 140%! With comfy furniture, better lighting, and student involvement in the design, the goal is simple: a place for students to feel safe, supported, and a little less stressed. Rocklin High’s mental health hub is just getting started!

William Kaseberg Elementary 🏫

William Kaseberg Elementary of Roseville is now officially a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School! Recognized for its exceptional success in closing achievement gaps, the school joins an elite group of 356 schools nationwide. Principal Melissa Duncan credits the tight-knit, community-focused approach for this accomplishment, ensuring students' needs are always front and center. With a committed staff, supportive families, and students who embody the "Chasing Greatness" spirit, Kaseberg Elementary has become a model of excellence. Superintendent Derk Garcia emphasized the importance of fostering both academic success and strong relationships. Get ready for even more celebrations in November when the school heads to Washington D.C. for the national ceremony!

Historic Folsom Space Converting to a Fitness Studio 🏋️ 

A Folsom taproom dream has flexed into a new reality! The historic barn-like building on Sutter Street is trading beer taps for barbells as Elizabeth Voss transforms the space into Studio on Sutter, a wellness haven. Expect everything from yoga to HIIT, spin classes to massages, and even personal training in this two-story fitness studio. While Barley Barn Tap House didn’t pan out, Studio on Sutter is ready to pump up the Historic District’s fitness game. With classes starting in early October, it’s time to trade your pint of glass for Pilates. ($)
