Placer County’s Sheriff’s Office is leveling up with a new Rocklin location! They're eyeing a 54,940 sqft. spot at 5750 West Oaks Blvd (formerly home to KLOVE). For $6.5M, the new substation will boast secure parking, training rooms, showers, and more. No jail though, so no need to panic, neighbors! Sheriff Woo says it’s a monumental day for public safety and growth in the area. While Rocklin is excited, Councilman Bill Halldin is crossing fingers for minimal impact on nearby residents. It’s a big move with big benefits—just keep the sirens low, okay? Still in the contingency period so we’ll see where this goes.

Buck & Sadie’s Closes Permanently 🍽️

After eight great years, Buck & Sadie's in Roseville has closed its doors. The family-owned restaurant, known for its Angus burgers, wings, and frozen custard, shut down due to the owner's health issues. With 4 stars on Yelp and a loyal following, it became a favorite spot for locals. While it’s tough to say goodbye, we’ll always remember the delicious meals and good vibes Buck & Sadie’s brought to Rocky Ridge Town Center. You’ll be missed! ($)
