CA Mobile Driver’s License 🪪 

California's digital driver's license has quietly revved up half a million users—less than 2% of the state's drivers. But fear not! Apple and Google will soon support the license in their wallet apps, making it even easier to store your ID alongside your digital clutter. Currently, the DMV's app is the only game in town, and it's not winning any popularity contests. Soon, you'll be able to flash your mobile ID at select airports and a handful of stores. It's a work in progress, but the future of IDs is here. If interested, you can enroll in the mDL pilot now. ($)

Roseville Road Closures 🚦

Heads up, Roseville drivers! Starting Friday, August 16 at 9 PM until Monday, August 19 at 5 AM, the westbound I-80 Douglas Boulevard off-ramp will be closed for the $46.1 million Auxiliary Lane and Fifth Lane Project. Expect a shiny new auxiliary lane on eastbound I-80 between State Route 65 and Rocklin Road, a two-lane off-ramp, and a fifth lane westbound between Douglas and Riverside. Here’s a kicker—the Douglas off-ramp will slim down from two lanes to one. Expect big changes when the project wraps up by spring 2025.
